Part-Time Position Open

The Wellsville City Library will be taking applications for

 

Part-Time Librarian Assistant starting now until the position is filled.

 

 

If interested you can review the part-time librarian’s job description and application.

Reopening Plan for Wellsville City Library

Here is a list of library services available as of May 26, 2020

 

The Library building is now open 9 am-5 pm weekdays and 9 am-12 pm Saturdays.

The Library will close at 5:00 pm for cleaning of facilities.

The outside 24-Hour Book Drop is to be used for all returned items.

Curbside service is still available by appointment.

Currently, there is no Inter-Library Loan services available. (Dates yet to be determined.)

Limited number of people are allowed in the library at one time.  (No more than 15 including staff.) (Appointments can be made for inside services.)

Social distancing is suggested.

Water fountain is NOT available!!

Computers are available by appointment only and for limited amount of time.

Computer users must sit at least 6 feet apart.

Copies, faxes and scans performed by staff only.

No book, DVD, or magazine donations accepted at this time.

Check with staff about meeting room usage.

The library does not provide P.P.E (Personal Protective Equipment) for patrons.

Facial coverings are suggested but not required.

Patrons enter at their own risk.

The Library is not responsible for personal safety, contamination, or the spreading of illnesses.

Learning Express Library offered by the State Library of Kansas.

This offers online help for college admissions test preparation, tutorials, eBooks,

computer skills, languages, career preparation, a job & career accelerator, and more.

 

The State Library of Kansas is a fantastic

website that offers a vast opportunities for free.  Examples include history & genealogy,

Skill Builders, Business & Technology, Health, Stats & Government,  Talking Books, and so much more.

BOOK DROP IS OPEN!!! CURBSIDE WOW!!!

The Wellsville City Library is pleased to announce that the book drop is now open!!!

 

You can return your library items to the book drop!

 

 

 

Starting May 5, 2020 the Wellsville City Library will offer curbside services only by appointment. We will offer pick up times 9:15-5:00 Monday through Friday, and 9:15-12:30 on Saturday to allow staff to perform extra cleaning services.  The library will only accept returned items in the book drop.  WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ITEM DONATIONS AT THIS TIME DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNS AND HANDLING OF MATERIALS.

 

We ask that you call (785-883-2870) or email (wclibrary@wellsvillelibrary.org) the library to schedule your appointment to pick up items from the library.

 

 


April Library Board Meeting

The April library board meeting will be held via zoom due to the health and safety of all.

If you join the meeting and  use inappropriate language or are hostile you will not be allowed to continue.

BOOK DROP

Dear Patrons,

The Library will be closed until further notice.

The library will also close the book drop.

Please hold onto the items in your possession until the library reopens.

Please keep items in a safe place.

The library does not charge late fees so there are no overdue fees charged to your account.

You can log in to your accounts from home and use them for Hoopla online.  If you need help with this please email the library at: wclibrary@wellsvillelibrary.org. Someone will respond as soon as possible.

The library asks for your assistance and patience with these health and safety matters.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
